Episode 3 – Never Go Back to Corpserape Island
It’s Halloween time, everyone, and it’s my favorite time of year. As such, I’ve posted the new episode a few days early, so it’s up in time for Halloween weekend. This is Episode 3, Never Go Back to Corpserape Island. It’s the legend of the Lost Colony of Roanoke, one of the first English settlements in the new world. It disappeared, leaving only an abandoned wall and the word “Croatoan” behind. This is a story that shows up from time to time in pop culture (everywhere from Spawn comics, to Supernatural, to American Horror Story). Then, in Gods and Monsters, it’s the story of the yee nahgloshii, or skin-walker, from Navajo folklore. In it, you’ll hear proof that the werewolves from Twilight were definitely evil witches.
